At 9.00 a.m. drive to the Egyptian Museum of Cairo one of the most famous museums in the world for its antiquities dating back about 50 centuries. it is located in Tahrir square, It contains a big number of rare Pharaonic artifacts, mummies, and The room of the treasures of Tutankhamun, The mask, and the 110 KG coffin of Tutankhamun.
After that drive to Islamic Cairo. Visit the Citadel of Saladin and the Alabaster Mohamed Ali mosque which is built in a Turkish design.
Later continue drive to Coptic Cairo. Visit the Church of St. Mary or El-Moallaqah the most popular name for this church is the hanging Church. It’s called so because it’s hung over the southern tower of the Roman fort. It”s the second oldest church in the World after a Roman church.
Visit the Church of St. Sergius, established at the end of the 8th century it stands on a crypt that was sheltered by the Holy Family during their fled to Egypt for three months.
The same Area will visit the Ben Ezra synagogue
The synagogue was originally a church called the “Church of the Blind” and was sold to the Orthodox Church by the Jewish community.
NB: The Synagogue is temporarily closed for some restorements.
