Bent pyramid
The Bent Pyramids is a unique and historically significant ancient Egyptian pyramid located in the Dahshur necropolis, about 40 km south of Cairo. It was built during the Old Kingdom period, around 2600 BC, during the reign of the pharaoh Sneferu.
Bent Pyramid is called so because of its distinctive shape, which has two angles instead of the typical four. The pyramid’s original inclination was at a steep 54 degrees, which was later changed to a shallower angle of 43 degrees, giving it its characteristic bent appearance.
